Do you love gaining insight into who you are? Are you a little more introverted and introspective? Do you see life as an opportunity to develop yourself and grow? Do you sometimes also feel guilty over potentially disappointing others, or are you constantly acting as a mediator in your relationships? If these questions resonate- then you might be an internalizer and we can do some wonderful work together to help you understand your past and help you become the most emotionally healthy version of yourself. My practice is focused on helping you develop insight into the "why" behind some of your struggles. I work with people facing depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, identity development (racial, sexual, spiritual, personality, etc), and difficulty processing loss. If any of that resonates please reach out and we can schedule a free consultation.
I enjoy working with motivated individuals and people in all relationship configurations who are seeking change. My style is approachable, warm, and collaborative, with a dash of humor when appropriate. I will be learning just as much from you as you are from me since you are the expert in your own life, even in times when it doesn't feel like it. From my former work as an intake coordinator, I know how hard it can feel to reach out for therapy, and I would be happy to see if I can help you meet your goals with a brief initial phone call.
Good mental health is key to thriving in school, maintaining strong relationships, and enjoying life. While medication can be a helpful tool, you may have heard mixed stories and are wondering if it's the right choice for you. Perhaps you were diagnosed with ADHD as a child and managed fine through high school, but now you're struggling to keep up. Or maybe you're already on medication for depression or anxiety, but it no longer seems as effective. You might even be seeking a second opinion on a past diagnosis or looking for a more holistic approach with a provider who truly listens. Whatever you're facing, I’m here to help. Why choose a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)? As board-certified and licensed professionals, PMHNPs are trained to diagnose mental health conditions, provide therapy, and prescribe medication. Nursing has been the most trusted profession for 22 years running, and we are dedicated to putting our patients at the heart of everything we do. That’s why I named my clinic Centered Psychiatry—because your well-being is always our focus. You deserve personalized care from someone who takes the time to understand your story and collaborate with you on a plan that works for you. If you're ready to explore a fresh approach to mental health, let’s connect.

Having worked in hospitals, behavioral/mental health, and in the homes of the elderly and disabled for the past 21 years, I will bring a depth of knowledge and experience to your therapy journey. My friendly down to earth, and “strengths based” approach helps clients balance their goals, wishes and desires with options. It may not be easy, and it may not happen overnight, but I assure you that the ability to change and grow is within yourself!
My work is to walk with people in liberatory practices that allow us to return home to ourselves, our communities, and our place in this world. I aim to embody an orientation toward collective liberation. The mental health industry is deeply influenced by white supremacy, capitalism, and colonialism. As a white, queer, gender-resistant, liberation-oriented therapist, I aim to disrupt and dismantle those oppressive systems as they exist within me and in the larger society. I incorporate decolonial, abolitionist, and transformative justice frameworks into our work as we meet one-on-one or in many relational configurations. In addressing the overwhelming effects of systemic inequities and intergenerational traumas, our work together explores how oppressions and intergenerational traumas factor into one’s lived experiences and understandings. This includes the ways that these experiences manifest in our lives as anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns we carry.

At different times in our lives, we may find ourselves challenged or feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, our relationships, our careers, our health, or transitions. It is during these challenges, that a trusting relationship with a counselor can give the dynamic support, to sort through our thinking, feeling, and patterns of behavior. Through this mindful work we may begin to see ourselves and our options in a new way. This offers the opportunity to grow and regain balance in our lives creating new strategies for a balanced life and conscious relationships. My approach is based in Mindfulness techniques, Somatic work, Neurophysiology and Brainspotting work. At times I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and DBT theory and technique. As I believe the foundation of all counseling relationships is in unconditional positive regard and respect, my work is lead by my clients.

Humor is something I like to incorporate into therapy; however, we can be serious about your concerns too. People of all ages struggle with human suffering and sometimes you need someone to walk with you through that, whether it be something you wish to change or something that you cannot. I aim to help my clients make meaning in life while also identifying the connections between our individual concerns and larger systems in life. I provide individual therapy for a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, identity exploration, and trauma, with specialized experience supporting people through grief, traumatic loss, and substance use concerns. My clients have expressed appreciation for my ability to sit with them in their suffering, when they have felt most alone. I have multiple years of experience previously working in college counseling centers. During these experiences, I supported students from a variety of backgrounds and found a lot of joy in helping students at a unique intersection in their lives. I have been lucky to work with a diverse student population and have supported many queer and trans students in exploring their gender and sexual identities while also addressing other mental health concerns. In addition, I was able to support BIPOC students as they addressed systemic issues within the university, while also exploring their individual racial identities. I further co-facilitated a family-trauma group during my time at a university counseling center. Thus, I find that I greatly appreciate being able to sit with students who are addressing these concerns. I am a Psychologist Resident in OR. I have my doctorate and five years of experience providing therapy, however, to become licensed in OR I must complete a supervised residency. I am supervised by Dr. Carrie McMullin (OR 2963). We all face challenges in life, some big and some small, but each is significant in its impact on you individually. Whether you have experienced large or small traumas, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, burnout, or are trying to understand and manage your emotional responses, I'm here to support your journey. There is no "right size" challenge to seek therapy and I'm here to support you regardless of how big or small you view your challenges. I am also trained in assessing for autism and ADHD, helping to not just diagnosis, but help you address life challenges you may face related to your neurodivergent superpowers.
I specialize in assessing and treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD and Level 1 Autism. My approach recognizes how traumatic experiences deeply affect mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. In therapy, we will explore the powerful connection between mind and body, working together to regain control over your life and build a more adaptive understanding of past experiences. My therapeutic interventions focus on developing resilience, strengthening self-confidence, managing symptoms effectively, and fostering new neural pathways that support more positive, meaningful experiences.
My clinical approach is multi-disciplinary and rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and humanistic psychology. I also have a background in integrative health and wellness, which can contribute to a more in-depth perspective on treatment. In addition, my work is relational and informed by the belief and the research that the essence of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. It is this relationship that can encourage true and thorough transformation. My style is genuine, collaborative, interpersonal, direct, and non-judgemental, and I encourage clients to be true to themselves and transparent. Although treatment is based on an individual's needs and goals, primary objectives in treatment are to help clients (re)connect to their confidence and curiosity and to reinforce their capacity and resiliency.
