Therapists for college students near Portland, OR
I provide comprehensive medication management for ADHD, depression, insomnia, PMDD, PTSD, and weight management. But I don't just treat symptoms. I treat the whole person. That means we're going to look at the full picture: your sleep habits, screen time, nutrition, movement, stress levels, and how you communicate. Because all of it matters. Your brain doesn't exist in a vacuum, and neither do your symptoms. If you're running on autopilot, procrastinating on work, can't focus, can't sleep, can't stick to the routines you know would help... you're frustrated with your eating habits, your exercise patterns, or how you feel during certain times of the month, or maybe you just don't feel like yourself lately. I can help. If you're ready to stop wasting energy on what drains you and start investing it where it actually counts, let's get started.
Having trained at the University of Notre Dame (Ph.D., M.A.), UC Berkeley (APA-accredited internship) and Stanford (post-doctoral fellowship), I bring rigorous scientific expertise into my clinical work with college students. In fact, I worked at the University Counseling Centers at all three of these schools and have continued to develop a specialized private practice that focuses almost exclusively on college students. I also teach for Pepperdine University in their Graduate School of Education & Psychology. I help clients with a range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, career and academic concerns, ADHD, relationship concerns (situationships, am I right? :) ), body image and eating disorders, perfectionism, college/life transitions, as well as family of origin challenges (let's say it together, boundaries...). I often work with high-achieving students who often are managing academically but struggling internally. My clients often put others first and themselves last. By the time they come to therapy, concerns have been going on for some time and they've reached a breaking point. They may feel they "should" be able to handle things on their own. As a recovering perfectionist and someone who was riddled with anxiety throughout college, I get it. It wasn't until my own training in CBT that I learned how destructive such thought patterns were. It inspired my clinical approach, as well as three clinical workbooks I've published on Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and Positive Psychology with the top mental health publishers. Many of my clients who have been to therapy before often remark how "easy" I make the process. We laugh, we learn, and talk like old friends. Therapy doesn't have to be stuffy or stressful. It's about feeling respected, validated and heard. Learning to take care of yourself, set appropriate boundaries, and thrive! I'd LOVE to work with you! Please feel free to book a complimentary 15 minute consultation at my website below so we can connect!
I specialize in effective therapy for adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and assertiveness issues. I enjoy working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and other minority populations. I have seven years of experience in working with college and university students. This has sparked my interest in working on topics such as life transition, career exploration, and examinations of one's identities. Many clients have expressed appreciation for my authenticity, warmth, and caring nature. I tend to integrate somatic and cognitive/behavioral modalities.
I am Brynn Zagunis, a licensed professional counselor and I specialize in treating trauma. I aim to help others heal from the experiences that often prevent them from achieving the sort of happiness they seek. After graduating from Oregon State University, Cascades with a Masters of Science in Counseling, I dedicated 5 years to serving underprivileged children, families, and adults in Central Oregon. I have worked in medical, residential, and outpatient clinical mental health settings, and also have extensive experience offering services via telehealth. I have specialty training and interest in working with the following: trauma & PTSD, attachment issues, anxiety, depression, family relational issues, parenting, OCD, and disordered eating. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, listening to music, and finding the magic in day to day activities.
My specialties are self-worth, relationships/attachment and traumas. From our earliest experience, that may not even be remembered, we've learned how to be in relationship. Some things may have been very helpful and other things we learned work against us. Through a lens of relationship much can be understood about ourselves. I offer both weekday and weekend sessions as business hours don't always work. I even offer in-home counseling (additional fees apply) for those who prefer or need me to come to them.
Hi there! I am a therapist working in Salem, willing to see folks in the office or virtually anywhere in Oregon. I love working with young adults. I use a client -focused approach and combine techniques from many other areas to best fit each client. I am trained in EMDR. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
I provide a holistic, strengths based, and non-pathologizing approach to wellness. I am a compassionate listener and active participant in helping people realize self-compassion and acceptance so they can heal past wounds and make changes in their lives that allow them to fully realize who they are at their core. Through use of sensorimotor/somatic therapy, EMDR and IFS (you can read more about these on my website), I help people learn to listen to their bodies and their internal wisdom so they can make choices that are in line with their values and hold themselves with more confidence and ease. While I work with all kinds of concerns, I specialize in helping individuals and their partners, who are having difficulty with intimacy due to a history of sexual abuse. I also honor and celebrate diversity and create a safe and affirming place for people who identify as LGBT, genderqueer or questioning and for people who are non-monogamous. So many of us have experienced physical and emotional traumas that have created barriers for us to live the lives we are meant to. I offer EMDR sessions to help people resolve those past experiences so memories are no longer held in the body in the same distressing way and they are free to feel safe again and enjoy more security in their relationships.

Feeling alone, gripped in anxiety and despair and other painful emotions, you might not think that anyone could possibly understand or help. As an experienced mental health professional, I know how to listen to your unique story and how to help you disentangle from the symptoms that are holding you back. Using intuitive listening skills and coming from a place of deep empathy, I will work with you, teaching you how to integrate new thinking and being skills into your life. Using Acceptance and Integration Training and depth psychotherapy, along with my extensive experience with a wide variety of people, I will help you feel better and get back on your feet towards living the life you want. I aim to help you discover your own unique inner wisdom, building awareness and emotional health for life. I work with each client individually and collaboratively to create long-term and short-term goals. For many clients the goals often include disentangling from anxiety and depression symptoms. This includes building new skills and habits that can be used on a daily basis to feel good and to prevent the symptoms from reoccurring. My clients report feeling peaceful, powerful, whole, hopeful and grounded after a session of Acceptance and Integration techniques.
Humor is something I like to incorporate into therapy; however, we can be serious about your concerns too. People of all ages struggle with human suffering and sometimes you need someone to walk with you through that, whether it be something you wish to change or something that you cannot. I aim to help my clients make meaning in life while also identifying the connections between our individual concerns and larger systems in life. I provide individual therapy for a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, identity exploration, and trauma, with specialized experience supporting people through grief, traumatic loss, and substance use concerns. My clients have expressed appreciation for my ability to sit with them in their suffering, when they have felt most alone. I have multiple years of experience previously working in college counseling centers. During these experiences, I supported students from a variety of backgrounds and found a lot of joy in helping students at a unique intersection in their lives. I have been lucky to work with a diverse student population and have supported many queer and trans students in exploring their gender and sexual identities while also addressing other mental health concerns. In addition, I was able to support BIPOC students as they addressed systemic issues within the university, while also exploring their individual racial identities. I further co-facilitated a family-trauma group during my time at a university counseling center. Thus, I find that I greatly appreciate being able to sit with students who are addressing these concerns. I am a Psychologist Resident in OR. I have my doctorate and five years of experience providing therapy, however, to become licensed in OR I must complete a supervised residency. I am supervised by Dr. Carrie McMullin (OR 2963). Hi, I’m Hailey Clark, and I’m glad you’re here. I work best with students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves—often while trying to look “fine” on the outside. Many of the clients I support are navigating eating disorders or difficult relationships with food, body image, control, and self-worth. I’m a Certified EMDRIA Therapist, and I use EMDR along with a steady, practical approach to help you work through what’s fueling the struggle—not just the symptoms. You don’t need the perfect words to start; we’ll meet exactly where you are and move at a pace that feels safe and doable. If you’re looking for a space that’s grounded, supportive, and focused on real change, I’d love to connect.

We all face challenges in life, some big and some small, but each is significant in its impact on you individually. Whether you have experienced large or small traumas, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, burnout, or are trying to understand and manage your emotional responses, I'm here to support your journey. There is no "right size" challenge to seek therapy and I'm here to support you regardless of how big or small you view your challenges. I am also trained in assessing for autism and ADHD, helping to not just diagnosis, but help you address life challenges you may face related to your neurodivergent superpowers.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or like you're carrying invisible weight no one else can see? Whether you're juggling classes, navigating relationships, questioning your identity, or dealing with family or cultural pressure, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m Tsuki, and I specialize in working with students who often feel like they don’t quite “fit the mold.” Many of the students I support are BIPOC, neurodivergent (ADHD, Autistic, AuDHD), and LGBTQIA+, and they're trying to make sense of who they are while moving through complex systems that weren’t built with them in mind. In therapy, your whole self is welcome — even the parts that feel messy or misunderstood. I offer online therapy in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese and bring a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to our work together. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and always grounded in respect for who you are and what you need. If you’re looking for support with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, identity questions, or just feeling stuck — I’m here to help.
I believe that a trusting relationship with you is of the utmost importance. During our time together I will work to create an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance so you feel free sharing and exploring whatever is troubling you. My approach is a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive integration of attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive therapy which emphasizes (1) trusting the client as an expert of their own reality, (2) exploring the patterns through which we come to understand ourselves, others, and the world, and (3) seeking meaningful emotional experiences in a safe therapeutic relationship. I will work to build a supportive, trusting, and safe relationship with you so you can bravely identify and confront the challenges you're facing. Counseling can seem like a daunting task to take on, but it also be incredibly rewarding and life-changing. If this sounds like a journey you would like to begin, then please contact me!
