Through my own lived experience, I can deeply resonate with the realities my Millennial and Gen Z clients face. Dating, social media, politics, finances, and demands from school or work can be so daunting. My main priority as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental, engaging, and approachable environment where you feel empowered to navigate these challenges together. Just having one of those days where you need to vent about your mom, partner, or roommate? There’s plenty of space for that too. While I pull from many approaches in my work, I especially enjoy utilizing skills-based therapies like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). These can address concerns like anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflict, sleep, and more. My goal is that you leave each and every session feeling more ready to take on what life is throwing your way. If you’re looking to gain control amidst our out-of-control world, I’d love to connect with you. Please don’t hesitate in reaching out for a free 15-minute consultation.

College is a time of transition where we learn not only about academics, but about who we are and how to navigate the myriad challenges of life. It is both exciting and stressful, fun and scary. And when we struggle with added anxiety, depression, traumas, relationship difficulties, and more it can make the whole experience feel overwhelming. I specialize in helping college students to cope with these challenges so they can thrive in school, work, and everyday life. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where I majored in Psychology and developed my interest in helping others. I went on to receive a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and then worked there for 6 years before starting my practice. I blend elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy into my practice. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and have seen dramatic results from its use, helping clients to overcome longstanding problems much more rapidly than with other therapeutic techniques. My practice is now fully telehealth, giving clients maximum flexibility for scheduling and convenience.

I collaborate with adults as they heal from trauma, anxiety, loss, depression, other mood issues, or any number of matters leaving them feeling somehow ineffective. As a clinician for over nineteen years, I will join with you to identify and transform painful obstacles, arising from past and/or present challenges, which hinder you from making healthy changes. Drawing especially from Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we will journey together to access your core nature, the Self, more spontaneously. This leads to clarity and calm over internal and external challenges you face, resulting in heightened creativity and effectiveness with problem solving, relationship building, and goal attainment. I believe you possess all necessary strengths and pathways to answers for improving your life, but may be having difficulty accessing them at present. I welcome individuals who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual, including those questioning or seeking help adjusting to leading more open, fulfilled lives with however they identify themselves. The IFS model utilizes a non-pathologizing, mind-body focus. Drawing from the natural strengths existing within each of us, IFS and EMDR guide a person into taking the lead in one's own healing process, no matter how traumatic a background one may have lived through. On 5/4/14, I completed the Level 2 IFS training. On 3/12/17, I completed the basic EMDR training. I accept these insurances: BCBS and Medicare.

You may be doing well on paper while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. I work especially well with college and graduate students navigating anxiety, identity questions, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, academic pressure, major life transitions, or the exhaustion of trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. My practice is welcoming to LGBTQIA+ students, veterans, adult learners, and others who have felt pressure to hide, shrink, or edit parts of themselves to belong. Therapy with me is warm, honest, and collaborative. Together, we can make sense of the patterns that have helped you survive, strengthen your ability to handle difficult emotions, and help you build a life guided by greater self-trust, choice, and authenticity.

I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I believe therapy should involve the whole person - including our internal, social, societal, spiritual, and physical selves. I invite clients to be collaborators in finding and exploring what will help them achieve growth. I provide a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment and believe a strong client-therapist relationship is essential for growth and change. I integrate aspects of multiple therapeutic modalities, including behavioral approaches (CBT, DBT, behavioral medicine/health psychology), mindfulness-based interventions, humanism, existential, relational and developmental theory, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic-informed care. I help patients/clients address a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use struggles, difficulties in relationships, grief/loss, identifying life goals, navigating life transitions, and balancing work-life demands. I received my training at William James College (Newton, MA). Trained with Advocates Community Counseling, Rutgers University College Counseling, and Boston Behavioral Medicine. I completed a post-doctoral behavioral health fellowship at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and worked there as a staff psychologist until October 2019. I have worked extensively in individual therapy, worked with adolescents and their caregivers, and have led mindfulness skills groups and anxiety skills groups. I believe that therapy should be a space where you don't have to perform, explain, or minimize your feelings, no matter your reason for reaching out. As a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I welcome clients with diverse identities and concerns, and strive to create a safe, compassionate environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma/complex PTSD, including survivors of assault/abuse. I also support clients navigating life transitions, identity-related challenges, relationship concerns, emotional dysregulation, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and academic/workplace challenges. Since there's no one-size-fits-all in healing, our work together will be tailored to your unique needs and a pace that feels safe, supportive, and sustainable for you. This can include processing difficult experiences, building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and fostering self-compassion, resilience, and a stronger sense of self. As a Harvard-trained researcher, my therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based care, integrating cognitive behavioral, dialectical, somatic, psychodynamic, and narrative interventions to help you create lasting, meaningful change. I look forward to supporting you in your journey towards a life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and authentic.
