Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a chronic condition that can be effectively managed with the right treatment. Disinformation can be your worst enemy. With me you will learn what OCD is and what it isn't and why talk therapy does not work when treating this condition. OCD and Anxiety treatment is a difficult journey that you don't have to take alone. If you are ready to work hard and need a mental health professional that can offer you real options and specialize treatment while offering you a safe space of empathy and understanding please give me a call and we can start this journey together

You often wish you felt better about yourself, didn't get so easily overwhelmed, and could handle conflict but aren’t even sure where to start. You’ve found yourself questioning if you should talk to someone. You’ve come to the right place! College life is full of changes and challenges. Even if they are good, changes can sometimes be more than we have bargained for and create a lot of stress and anxiety. Through their work with me, my clients have experienced feeling less overwhelmed by emotions, found effective ways to handle conflict with others (like roommates and partners), felt more connected/present, and gained more confidence in themselves. My clients describe me as welcoming, witty, direct, knowledgeable, and relatable. My style of therapy is very collaborative and conversational as I share tools that you can use in between our sessions. You can reduce the amount of anxiety you experience. At the very least, I can help you manage it in a different way that is less disruptive to you, your relationships, and achieving what you want to in school.

College life presents its own unique opportunities for self-growth. You may be bringing unresolved childhood issues with you to college, struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, fear, or stress impacting daily life. Counseling together may assist in leading a healthier and happier life. I work best with individuals that are curious for self exploration. I offer a non-judgemental and safe place for students to explore. I utilize EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused, and strengths based approaches to therapy. The first step is to see if we are a good fit together.

I hold a B. A. in English from Shanghai University and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Over the last 19 years, I interned and practiced at various inpatient and outpatient settings, including Mt. Sinai-Roosevelt Hospital in NYC, Mt. Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, Amherst College Counseling Center in Amherst, MA, and the Community Health Center of Franklin County in Greenfield, MA. My own cross-cultural and cross-lingual experiences continue to shape the way I work. My “ideal patient” often shares these essential characteristics with me: bilingualism/biculturalism; deep-seated values for family, language, and culture; experiences of migration and adversity; an appreciation for authenticity and openness; and an unyielding curiosity about the inner workings of their own minds and those of others. I look forward to working with you!

Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything you’re “supposed” to do, but still feel overwhelmed, lost, or unsure of where you fit? Maybe you’re trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and your own goals while quietly wondering, “Am I the only one struggling with this?” I work with young adults, including first generation students of diverse backgrounds, who are navigating big transitions and trying to figure out who they are while building the life they want. This may look like feeling stuck, dealing with academic or career stress, struggling with anxiety or burnout, feeling pressure to succeed, or trying to find your place in a new environment. As a bilingual therapist and someone who is first-generation, I understand the challenges of finding yourself while balancing family expectations, culture, and your own goals. Therapy can be a space to explore your identity, build confidence, and create a life that feels authentic to you. Whether you are struggling with stress, perfectionism, relationships, grief, major life changes, or simply feeling like you’re not where you want to be, I provide a supportive space where you can feel understood and develop tools to move forward. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Sometimes reaching out is the first step toward understanding yourself better and creating meaningful change.

Hello, and welcome! I specialize in working with individuals, complex relationship issues (sexual dysfunction, intimacy, infidelity), and the impacts of Narcissistic Personality Disorder on relationships. I work closely with individuals struggling with different forms of mental disorders and help my clients forge a new path forward toward healing and wholeness. My passion is in therapy, and I am humbled and grateful when people invite me to play a meaningful role in their lives. I view relationships as the source of people's greatest joys and pains. I want all clients to have the experience of being treated with honesty, respect, and care. Trust in the therapeutic alliance is of the upmost importance to me, and I will always do my best to establish a setting you feel comfortable sharing your most vulnerable moments. Through passionate discussion, we can begin by making the first steps toward positive change and chart a new path of hope for your life. I specialize in working with those struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety and life transitions. I believe relationships matter, knowing that change can only happen when you feel supported and valued. Together, we will work to understand your needs in a judgment-free environment and identify the exact tools that can help you to manage life stressors. I use a a systems-based perspective in my practice, which considers the smaller pieces of our lives that add up to who we are as a person. Think of it like baking- all the ingredients (systems) come together to make the cake (the whole person). In our work together we will identify the specific systems that are impacting your well-being and how you can use you own power to adjust these systems as needed. I use DBT skills, CBT skills and mindfulness-based interventions to help us understand how to best support your systems. I am caring and compassionate, working alongside you to reach your best self. I know that every person is deserving of reaching their highest potential and find it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the process. I am currently providing Telemed therapy in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I look forward to being a part of your healing journey!

Searching for a therapist can be one of the most difficult parts of coping, healing, and self-empowerment, because it's the first thing you must do. You must force yourself out of your comfort zone and out of whatever routine you've had before, to take the initiative and embark on a new path. When we're at our best, stepping out of our comfort zones can be daunting; when we're feeling vulnerable, it can seem nearly impossible. No matter what prompted you to take this first step, I'd like to be there for your second. I have a deep affinity for those affected by trauma, including sexual assault and combat, as well as extensive experience and desire to work with those with perinatal issues (such as post-partum depression), issues of gender and racial justice, childhood and teenage transitions, depression, and chronic illness. My therapeutic approach focuses on creating an empathic environment where you feel safe and relaxed, and where we can use every tool available to brighten your present and empower your future. This may involve playing a game or taking a walk as often as we spend time in the office.

Clients come to me when they feel overwhelmed in life. The challenge is that the college experience can exacerbate these issues. It can be hard to navigate not only the academic expectations, but also the issues in our relationships. College is a unique and fleeting experience. I would be happy to support you in managing stressors to make this a positive experience. Our work together is based on radical kindness, cultural understanding, and empathy.
